Russia plans to create in 2011 a new unified air and space defense system.
 
 
Russia plans to create in 2011 the bases of a new unified air and space defense system, able to protect the country against all types of missiles, said the chief of the Staff of the Russian army, general Nikolaï Makarov, December 14th, 2010.

“Russia must have a “umbrella” able to protect it from any attacks of medium and long ballistic missiles, cruise missile, in any time and in all circumstances. It is a long process requiring of important investments. We are constrained to create the bases of this system in 2011”, said the General Makarov.
