Company Otokar will deliver new Cobra 2 4x4 armored personel carrier to Turkish Security Forces.
According the Turkish Defense Magazine MSI, the security forces of Turkey has announced an order of 47.5 million for the purchase of Cobra 2 4x4 armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Otokar. The Cobra 2 was unveiled for the first time to the public during the defense exhibition IDEF in May 2013.
     
According the Turkish Defense Magazine MSI, the security forces of Turkey has announced an order of 47.5 million for the purchase of Cobra 2 4x4 armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Otokar. The Cobra 2 was unveiled for the first time to the public during the defense exhibition IDEF in May 2013. The first delivery of the vehicles to the Turkish Security Forces is planned to start in 2017. The Cobra II is the next generation of 4x4 armored personnel carrier in the Cobra family which is currently operated by 15 countries around the world.
 

Designed according to evolving needs and the demands of the existing users base spread over five continents, COBRA II has the same mobility with COBRA, but features a higher carrying capacity and a higher internal volume for various roles.

Besides outstanding mobility capability and 9 crew carrying capacity, the Cobra II provides protection, firepower and mission equipment for users at different types of missions. The vehicle provides an outmatched performance in a wide range of challenging terrains and climatic conditions.

The Cobra II is motorized with a 6 cylinders Diesel engine developing 281 hp. coupled to an automatic gearbox with 6 forward and 1 reverse speed. The Cobra II can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 700 km.
