Turkey has tested local-made HISAR-O medium-altitude air defense missile system.
According the Turkish Anadolu News website, Turkey’s defense minister last week reviewed a test launch of the Turkish-made Hisar-O medium-altitude air defense missile. This flight test of the Hisar-O was performed under a project to meet the Turkish Land Forces with a new air defense missile system.

HISAR short to medium-range air defense missile system mounted on tactical truck chassis Mercedes-Benz at IDEF 2015, defense exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey.
     
“We have many systems developed with the Roketsan and Havelsan corporations. Now there is an intense effort to go to more advanced systems", said Fikri Isik , the Turkish Defense Minister.

HISAR Missile Launching System is a multipurpose missile launcher which deploys and launches short and medium range HISAR Air Defense Missiles.

HISAR-A Missile Launching System, configured as a short range air defense missile launcher, operates under control of KORKUT-Fire Control System which provides coordinated operation of 35 mm towed guns and Missile Launching System.
 

HISAR-0 Missile Launching System, configured as a medium range air defense missile launcher, is controlled by HlSAR-0 Fire Control Center which supervises three launchers within an air defense battalion.

HISAR Missile Launching System is a state of the art technology and has open HW6SW architecture for utilizing future technology The HISAR missile has a maximum interception range of 15 km and the launcher vehicle can carry a total of 6 missiles. At IDEF 2015, the missile launcher unit was mounted on a 6x6 military truck chassis Mercedes-Benz.
