DEFEA 2021: Rafael will present its full range of defense equipment in the field of Land - Air - Sea


The Israeli company Rafael will present its full range of defense equipment for Land - Naval and Air Forces at DEFEA 2021, International Defense Exhibition that will take place in Athens, Greece from 13 to 15 July 2021. Visit Rafael at DEEA 2021, Stand 3F25.

RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. develops and produces state-of-the-art armaments for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel’s defense system and for the international market. The company provides innovative solutions on the technological cutting edge from underwater, naval, land and air through space systems. The company has also formed partnerships with civilian counterparts to develop commercial applications based on its proprietary technologies.

RAFAEL develops and manufactures a variety of guided missile systems, including air-to-air, air-to-surface, anti-tank missiles and air defense systems, as well as electro-optic systems for target acquisition, laser designation and reconnaissance purposes and C4I systems for net-centric warfare.

In the field of missiles, Rafael has developed David’s Sling, an Air defense missile system jointly produced in cooperation with American company Raytheon. The Iron Dome is an effective and innovative mobile defense solution for countering short and medium-range rockets. The Python and Derby air-to-air missiles, the Spyder air defense system, the Spice air-to-surface missile systems, the Spike family of electro-optic multi-purpose missile systems, as well as the Litening and Toplite navigation and targeting pods, the Reccelite real-time reconnaissance pod and the Spotlite electro-optic small arms detection system.

Rafael also develops and produces systems for land combat forces and underwater defense including active, reactive and passive protection systems for land combat vehicles, remote-controlled weapon stations, naval and land acoustic systems, anti-torpedo warfare, as well as laser and high-powered, micro-wave-based, energy-directed weapons. In addition, the division also specializes in security applications.

One of the most popular defense product developed by Rafael is the Trophy, an active protection system which are now mounted on Merkava tanks of Israeli Army as well as American M1A2 Abrams and German Leopard 2A7 tanks. In the future, the Trophy will be also mounted on the new Challenger 3 of the British army. The company also provides armor Solutions, the Samson family of remote weapon stations, the Carpet mine breaching and counter-IED system, as well as the Hard Kill Torpedo Defense Torbuster and the Protector USV.

Other divisions of Rafael develop rocket motors and space propulsion systems, warheads and pyrotechnic subsystems, stand-off breaching systems, and naval decoys.
