A new versatile drone system capable of multiple types of combat missions over land, sea and air has completed a highly successful first trial firing of a Thales Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM) to bring the potential of unmanned air combat a step closer to reality. The Jackal drone capability has been designed and developed by experts from UK-based Flyby Technology, with Turkish partners FlyBVLOS Technology and Maxwell Innovations providing design engineering and prototyping expertise, to fill a recently discovered gap in modern combat operations.

Global Specialised Vehicles (GSV), a manufacturer of armoured vehicles in South Africa, is introducing a new vehicle that offers high levels of protection similar to a military-grade armoured personnel carrier (APC), while also being road-legal, making it ideal for use by commercial security companies to safeguard assets, secure cash in transit, and more. Production is commencing immediately at GSV's Germiston facilities, with plans to manufacture between five and ten vehicles per month. The armoured steel and glass materials used in the vehicle are supplied by certified and accredited suppliers.

According to information published by the Indian news website "Firstpost" on 16 April 2023, in a major move aimed at bolstering their rocket capabilities against potential threats from the northern borders, the Indian armed forces are set to purchase 250 Pralay missiles and two more units of the Pralay ballistic missiles. The order, valued at over $915 million, demonstrates India's commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities.

Aeronautics Ltd. – a company specializing in designing, developing and manufacturing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for the global defense and HLS markets – on April 17 announced a contract to supply dozens of its Orbiter 3 systems to the Greek Ministry of Defense. The agreement is part of the large contract between the Israeli and Greek Ministry of Defense, worth approximately 370 million euros, for the procurement of Rafael's Spike missiles.

Italy is one of the EU countries that regularly provide military assistance to Ukraine. In this framework, it handed over about 20 M109L self-propelled howitzers. It appears that a train loaded with them reached its destination on Saturday, April 15. The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera recalls that several M109L self-propelled guns were already transferred to Ukraine back in October 2022.

Germany has taken the next contractual step within the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme today after signing the Statement of Intent in June 2022. Germany has now officially joined the programme by signing the Technical Arrangement. Sweden joined the programme in 2022 and proceeds now by joining the Framework Agreement as the next stage of preparation for the serial procurement phase.

Denmark, Copenhagen, April 14, 2023 - Earlier this year, Denmark decided to donate all of its CAESAR 8x8 155mm artillery systems to Ukraine. Now, the Ukrainians have also been trained in the use and maintenance of the system and are ready to receive the systems. The CAESAR artillery systems are expected to be delivered to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
