Nexter, Thales and Arquus ensured all of the scheduled EBMR Griffon and EBRC Jaguar deliveries in 2022, in accordance with the 2019-2025 military programming law. Thus, since 2019, 452 Griffons and 38 Jaguars were delivered to the DGA.

In parallel, the GME EBMR ensured in 2022 the development of a new version of the Griffon configured as an ambulance vehicle, the Griffon SAN (sanitary) will allow the care and evacuation of the injured. This new version was qualified on 12 September 2022 by the DGA. It is equipped with a medical module, adapted facilities for storage and integration of medical equipment, and a loading assistance system injured consisting of a mobile table and a lifting winch. The interior configuration accommodates seated or lying wounded with a capacity of four stretchers. The version SAN has all the elements common to the other versions of the Griffon (mobility, armament, protection and connectivity).
Innovation in energy
In June 2022, the GME EBMR also jointly presented the results of the risk removal survey on the integration of Lithium-ion batteries in military vehicles. Conducted on a model and on a Griffon prototype, this experiment enabled the teams of the DGA Terrestrial Techniques center of expertise and testing and those of the GME EBMR to test the complete system. These new batteries will be able to power more electrical equipment tomorrow while maintaining the current standby time and recharging twice as fast. The study conducted by the GME thus opens the way to new options for equipping the most energy-intensive vehicles in theaters of operations.
SCORPION, an ambitious program
The EBRC Jaguar armored reconnaissance and combat vehicle (EBRC) and the multi-role armored vehicle (VBMR) Griffon were developed as part of the Scorpion program led by the DGA, alongside Serval light VBMR vehicles. They are natively designed to implement the SCORPION Combat Information System (SICS). SICS empowers our soldiers to carry out a collaborative fight, thanks to the communication of information in real time between different units and the digitization of the battlefield. Thus, in the event of a conflict intensity, the Army will be assured of being one step ahead of its opponent. To implement these new combat capabilities, the first brigade (BIA) SCORPION will be formed at the end of 2023.
French and Belgian armies teaming up in CaMo Program
The Belgian army will also be equipped with Griffons and Jaguars in the framework of the Belgian-French CAMO program (CApacité MOtorisée, Motorized Capability) that aims at common operationality in the field of motorized units.
