The S-KAPS delivers decisive protection within only 1 second thanks to the ammunition’s unique terminal effects and maximizes vehicle survivability by computing data received from the various sensors operated onboard. Regarding the latest developments, Lacroix's system can also be enhanced by adding other cutting-edge technologies, such as acoustic detection, laser warning system, departure missile detection, etc.). S-KAPS is a modern self-protection solution forging the collaborative protection of the future, developed within the framework of the PTD Pronoia, where Lacroix is the leader of the company consortium.
As regards vehicle survivability-enhanced solutions for the UAE, Nimr and Lacroix have been working for over 10 years together to provide respectively rugged armored vehicles and a reliable range of self-protection solutions with S-KAPS equipped with Galix effects including its latest technology to serve the UAE Land Forces and armies worldwide.
First S-KAPS generation systems (Galix land passive defense reaction systems manufactured by Lacroix) equip more than 3,000 military vehicles in the UAE (Leclerc MBT, M113, M109, G6, RG31, BMP3 turret, DCAN, Ajban 447 from Nimr, etc. ).
