On July 31, 2020, Rheinmetall broadcasted a video showing a new main battle tank, fitted with new armor and a 130mm gun. Rheinmetall’s 130 mm smoothbore technology for main battle tanks (MBT) embodies a significant lethality leap in times of more sophisticated protection systems and increasing threats. Combined with a state-of-the-art auto-loader, this system is the latest evolvement in Rheinmetall’s, MBT. Update: the new tank seems to be based on British Challenger 2 MBT.

According to information released by the Bulgarian Military website on July 25, 2020, China has exported its HJ-12 dubbed Red Arrow 12 to Algeria, a third-generation of portable anti-tank guided missile weapon. The HJ-12 was unveiled during the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in November 2014.

New information about the Turkish armored amphibious assault vehicle – ZAHA/Marine assault Vehicle project to be operated from the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu has been released. FNSS will deliver a total of 27 vehicles: 23 personnel carriers, 2 command and control vehicles and 2 recovery vehicles.

According to a Tweet released by the DTR Magazine on July 30, 2020, after the contract award two years ago, the first Block 1 Boxer 8x8 armored CRV (Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles) 30 mm turret variants have arrived in Australia. It is planned to deliver the first vehicles to the Australian army end of this year.

In 2023, the Panzergrenadier Brigade 37 "Free State of Saxony" will form the core of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), an association with a very high level of operational readiness. Two truck models from Rheinmetall MAN, with payloads of 5 and 15 tons, are used to perform transport tasks. In its restructuring program, the U.S. Marine Corps is implementing its plans to cut tank battalions and reduce infantry units over the next 10 years while investing in new capabilities involving other equipment. “Developing a force that incorporates emerging technologies and a significant change to force structure within our current resource constraints will require the Marine Corps to become smaller and remove legacy capabilities,” the command said.

A Russian Southern Military District engineer regiment has received an advanced Uran-6 mine-clearance robotic system. "The best specialists of the regiment are learning to operate the system at the Russian Armed Forces’ International Mine Action Center," the Defense Ministry press office said.
