The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency on July 27 announced that the State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Romania of sixteen (16) Assault Amphibious Vehicles (AAVs) and related equipment for an estimated cost of $120.5 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale.

Among the standout exhibits is the highly anticipated military vehicle developed by Anzatsan, an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) designed to fulfill a multitude of missions and roles on the battlefield called Yabgu.

On June 27, 2023, the Russian state-owned conglomerate Rostec made an announcement about the successful completion of state trials for the 8x8 wheeled 152mm self-propelled howitzer known as 2S43 Malva. This news is particularly significant as the Russian Army had previously lacked such wheeled self-propelled artillery units (SPAs), which are crucial for various tactical situations.

During IDEF 2023, Ukrarmor is showcasing its Kamrat-L Special Purpose Armored Vehicle, also known as Varta, for export purposes. This armored personnel carrier sets new standards in military mobility, protection, and versatility, meeting the requirements of Armed Forces units and various military and security authorities. The Kamrat-L successfully passed all official compliance tests set by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, National Guard of Ukraine, and Border Guard Service of Ukraine during 2015-2016.

The Alpar Unmanned Ground Vehicle's main purpose is to seamlessly integrate with both manned and unmanned elements on the battlefield, effectively addressing the growing demand for robotic and unmanned ground vehicles. The Alpar family offers versatility with various models designed for specific purposes, including the armored fighting vehicle, anti-tank vehicle, logistic re-supply vehicle, C-UAS vehicle, relay vehicle, and reconnaissance and surveillance vehicle.

The 10th iteration of Talisman Sabre marks a significant milestone in this biennial exercise aimed at promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region. The exercise is designed to enhance cooperation and interoperability among key allies, and whether it is called Talisman Sabre or Talisman Saber depends on whether Australia or the U.S. is leading the effort. At IDEF 2023, Aselsan is presenting a family of multi-layered air defense radar systems designed for search, surveillance, and defense purposes. These radars are capable of detecting and classifying aerial targets, ranging from mini/micro-drones to stealth aircraft, providing robust security for strategic installations.
