Sir Peter was met by Andrew Jankel, Chairman of the Jankel Group, his directors and a selection of staff. Sir Peter received a briefing on the company and its international footprint, including their numerous facilities in UK, USA and Jordan. He also visited the vehicle production line and was given the opportunity to speak to the staff working on current, unrestricted domestic and export orders.

Andrew Jankel, Chairman of the Jankel Group said: “We’re all very pleased to welcome Sir Peter as he visits Jankel today. We’re exceedingly proud of what has been achieved in recent years, having delivered an increase in annual revenue in the last 18 months, in spite of Covid restrictions. I’ve very much enjoyed showing Sir Peter around our production facility from where we are delivering UK defence projects as well as actively exporting multiple defence contracts to Europe, post-BREXIT. We are one of a very few small to medium (SME) UK defence focused companies left that is winning global vehicle contracts; designed, developed, built and supported in Britain”. He added: “As I have explained to Sir Peter throughout the day, we are focused on innovative, fast and cost-effective product development using, training and sustaining traditional skills that are becoming harder to find in the UK. It’s been an absolute pleasure hosting Sir Peter and I thank him for taking the time to see us.
