On June 22, 2002, Germany has published a list of all the military equipment and weapon that were already delivered to Ukraine including the Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank rocket.

The RGW 90 Matador also called Panzerfaust 3 in the German army is a man-portable anti-tank rocket launcher weapon developed between 1978 and 1985 and first entered into service with the German army in 1987.

The RGW 90 Matador consists of a disposable canister with a 110-mm warhead and a reusable firing and sighting device. The weapon is light enough to be carried and fired by one soldier. The rocket launcher weapon is designed to be used by infantrymen and special forces, it is intended to engage and destroy a variety of ground-based targets including main battle tanks, light armored vehicles, fortified facilities, bunkers, wall structures, and fixed shelters.

Citing information from the "Army-Technology" website, the RGW 90 family of infantry weapon systems include RGW 90HH (Heat-Hesh), RGW 90AS (Anti Structure), and RGW 90WB (Wall Breacher).

The RGW 90HH variant weighs 8.7kg and is used to destroy structural targets using an adjustable warhead at an effective range between 20 m and 500 m.

Weighing roughly 10kg, the RGW 90 AS variant is fitted with a two-stage warhead that can destroy hardened protective covers and hit the targets hidden behind the cover. It has a range between 10 m and 400 m.

Armed with an explosively-formed ring warhead, the 174mm RGW 90WB weapon, weighing 13 kg, can penetrate masonry structures and concrete or brick walls at ranges from 10m to 100 m. The RGW 90LRMP (long-range multi-purpose) is the enhanced version of the RGW 90.
