During the three days of DEFEA 2023 a defense exhibition in Greece, the U.S. Army showcased a wide array of combat vehicles, artillery systems, and advanced weaponry currently deployed by the Ukrainian forces in their ongoing conflict with Russia. The U.S. Army's presence at the International Defense and Security Exhibition highlighted the high-tech arsenal that has seen action not only in Ukraine but in various global theatres, with some units also being considered by the Greek Armed Forces.

Germany’s two top military vehicle makers, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall, have been awarded an order to build a further 50 Puma infantry fighting vehicles. Including value-added tax, the total value of the order comes to €1.087 billion. Of this amount, €574 million will go to KMW and €501 million to Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, both of which are serving as subcontractors in the project.

Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract valued at approximately 20 million Euros, as part of a defense export agreement signed between the Israel and Montenegro Ministries of Defense to acquire Elbit Systems-made weapons including mortar munition systems and training equipment. German defense giant company Rheinmetall and Ukraine's state-owned defense corporation, Ukroboronprom, have inked a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at bolstering Ukraine's defense industry and, by extension, its national security. The partnership centers around the gradual establishment of joint defense technology capabilities within Ukraine.

A video released on Facebook on May 12, 2023, reveals that Oleksii Rezikov, the Ukrainian Defence Minister, has personally tested the domestically-produced T-84 Oplot Main Battle Tank (MBT). On Friday, May 12, the Belgian government decided to adopt a new package of support measures for Ukraine. This aid comes in a context where Ukraine is preparing its counter-offensive against Russia and where the Ukrainian population must also be supported. The total amount of new financial resources allocated reaches 92 million euros. These financial resources come from the tax revenue earned on Russian financial assets frozen in Belgium.

A German-modified M903 launcher successfully launched a Lockheed Martin Patriot PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptor in a flight test on May 11. The Germany Tactical Test / Operational Test 3 flight test was conducted by the German Air Force against a virtual tactical ballistic missile target to prove compatibility between PAC-3 MSE and the German-modified Patriot M903 launching station.

The Greek company S.A.S. Technology unveils at DEFEA 2023, a defense exhibition that was held in Greece, a quadcopter drone able to fire 70mm rockets. There are two types of SARISA drones. The SRS-1A is designed specifically for military applications, while the SRS-1C is optimized for cargo transport and can serve as an equipment or sensor platform for both civil and military missions.

Greek state defence company, Hellenic Defence Systems (EAS) and Paramount Industries Greece on May 9 signed a strategic partnership for the local production of next-generation, long-range loitering munitions, in a significant move to embolden the Greek defence industry's indigenous manufacturing capabilities. On Wednesday 10 May 2023, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, announced that the Czech Republic would transfer two 2K12 Kub (NATO Code SA-6 Gainful) air defense missile systems and missiles to Ukraine. Due to the recent attacks by the Russian forces against military infrastructures and main cities on Ukrainian territory, air defense capabilities are a key element for the Ukrainian armed to counter aerial attacks by drones and missiles.
