According to a statement from the Danish Ministry of Defense, citing the decision of the Foreign Policy Committee of May 2 and echoed by en.interfax.com.ua, Denmark has pledged to provide Ukraine with its largest aid package yet, worth DKK 1.7 billion (approximately $250 million). This decision was made by the Foreign Policy Committee on May 2nd, and will include vehicles and materiel, air defense and ammunition that will strengthen Ukraine's ability to conduct an offensive in the coming months.

The package of €500 million proposed this May 3 by the European Commission to support ammunition production in the EU is part of a larger effort to provide military support to Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. The package, called the Act aimed at supporting ammunition production (ASAP), is the third part of a plan to urgently deliver 1 million shells to Ukraine.

Sensor specialist Hensoldt has successfully concluded the modernization of core test systems of the artillery location radar COBRA which is in service with several NATO armies. Under a con-tract worth several million euros awarded by the Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation(Organisation Conjointe de Coopérationen matière d’Armement, OCCAR) on behalf of Germany and France, Hensoldt has replaced the Radar Target Generator (RTG) and the CO-BRA Radar Environment Simulator (CRES), key elements of the test environment of COBRA indispensable for determining optimum deployment and testing system performance.

The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense has completed the initial phase of acquiring Vilka 8x8 wheeled armored Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), based on the German Boxer 8x8 armored vehicle. The final 23 IFVs of this stage, purchased for the Lithuanian Armed Forces, are set to arrive in the country this summer, as announced by the ministry at the end of April.
