Hanwha Defense’s state-of-the-art unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) will join the U.S. Army’s competitive field test and evaluation program. The UGV, codenamed ARION-SMET, has been selected as one of the equipment for the Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) operated by the Office of the Secretary of Defense under the U.S. Department of Defense. The FCT aims to test items and technologies of U.S. foreign allies that have a high Technology Readiness Level (TRL) so as to satisfy valid defense requirements quickly and economically.

MINSK, October 10. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Belarus and Russia begin deploying a joint regional group of forces, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Monday, October 10. The Belarusian leader said that he had held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin after an informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg: “In the wake of an escalation on the western borders of the Union State, we agreed on deploying a regional group of forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. All these moves are consistent with our documents,” the BelTA news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying at a meeting with defense and security officials. “Now that the level of danger reaches the level as is the case now, we begin deploying a group of forces of the Union State”.

According to Al Mayadeen, Belarus is set to receive 9K720 Iskander-M nuclear-capable guided missiles and S-400 Triumf air defense missiles, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense said on October 7: "The defense minister (Viktor Khrenin) has announced the incoming delivery of new equipment, which includes the [Russian-made] Iskander guided missile systems and the S-400 air defense systems over the next few months", the defense ministry said on Telegram. "The demonstration of the unmanned combat systems will take place in October," Minsk added.

On September 14th, South Korea’s defense company Hanwha Defense Co.— through its US subsidiary Hanwha Defense USA — and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC), successfully proved the compatibility of the K9 Thunder Self-Propelled Howitzer (SPH) and K10 Ammunition Resupply Vehicle (ARV) with a variety of U.S. munitions.
