BREAKING NEWS: Israeli Army Calls Up 300,000 Reservists and Deploys Tanks for Attack Phase

In a significant escalation of hostilities following the invasion by HAMAS fighters into Israeli territory on October 7, 2023, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reportedly targeted 500 sites in the Gaza Strip overnight. Among the areas hit was the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp, which resulted in dozens of casualties, including children. The IDF claims to have established full control over Israeli towns surrounding the Gaza perimeter fence, though operations against militants in Sderot continue.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has declared a comprehensive blockade on the Gaza Strip, which will see a halt in electricity and a blockade on the entry of essential supplies such as food and fuel. Gallant's statement was notably stern, remarking, “We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly." In light of the ongoing conflict, the IDF has evacuated 15 communities around the Gaza Strip.

Adding to the mounting tensions, the Israeli army is reportedly mobilizing near the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese border. Reports suggest that a ground invasion of Gaza, aimed at neutralizing the Hamas organization, is on the horizon. The Israeli Army has announced a significant increase in called-up reservists, from 100,000 to a staggering 300,000, indicating that they are nearing "the attack phase."

In a grave development, the Israeli military-political cabinet has officially declared a state of war by invoking the “40 aleph” (40א) clause, granting the Israeli army significant freedom of action. This clause was last activated during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Notably, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, an event which Hamas is believed to have timed its attack to coincide with.

An IDF spokesman further intensified the rhetoric, stating that Israel is preparing to "put an end to the Gaza enclave, take control of it, and destroy all terrorists on its territory."
