At the DSEI 2023 exhibition in London, the Slovakian society Konstrukta Defence unveils the prototype of a new 6x6 155mm self-propelled howitzer named SpGH Bia. This prototype features a fully functional weapon system and has successfully completed initial firing tests. Additional firing trials are scheduled to prepare the SpGH BIA for military testing in a potential customer's country in 2024. Konstrukta Defence is also considering the integration of the SpGH Bia into the Slovak Armed Forces' arsenal.

Nexter, a company of KNDS, presents the T40 turret equipped with the 40mm CTA gun system. This is an Anglo-French system made by the joint venture between Nexter and BAe Systems: CTA International (CTAI). CTAI is entirely dedicated to the production of the gun and its ammunition. It is the only company that masters the cased telescoped technology which allows the 40mm CTA ammunition to be as small as any 25mm round but as powerful as the 40mm/L40 Bofors ammunition.

According to posts on Russian social media on September 11, 2023, Russian military analyst Viktor Murakhovsky made statements regarding the T-14 Armata tanks, indicating that once the electronic systems of the T-14 Armata tanks are finalized, serial production is expected to commence, potentially leading to troop deployment as early as 2024.

In a ceremony attended by Defense Minister, Klaudia Tanner, the first Austrian Leopard 2A4 main battle tank was officially transferred to Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), a member of KNDS with Nexter Defence Systems. The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency on September 11 announced that the State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Poland of an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) and related equipment for an estimated cost of $4.0 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this sale.

Recent videos appearing on Twitter have showcased tests of China's Sunflower-200 drone, a version strikingly similar to Iran's Shahed-136 kamikaze drone. This development comes as Russia is already deploying its Geran-2 drone, a Russian version of the Shahed-136, in Ukraine. This could potentially indicate that Russia has found a new supplier for large-scale kamikaze drones.

Rheinmetall has supplied Ukraine with a mobile field hospital. Just one year ago, in September 2022, the German ministry of Defence awarded Group subsidiary Rheinmetall Mobile Systeme GmbH, or RMS, the contract for the hospital and related training support. The order is worth around €9 million.

OneWeb, a global Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications network company, is unveiling a new soldier-portable, lightweight user terminal (UT) designed to be carried in a backpack for operations close to the tactical edge. On September 7, 2023, the ordnance and tactical systems division of General Dynamics and the Florida-based subsidiary of Norwegian defense firm Nammo were awarded a five-year contract worth $488.7 million by the U.S. Army. The contract is for the production of red bag propellant charges, specifically designed for Howitzers equipped with M185 and M199 cannons.

Fering, a British startup, successfully secured a contract to develop a military version of its electric Pioneer 4x4 vehicle capable of a potential range of 7,000 km. They will be working in collaboration with a specialized tactical unit, the identity of which remains undisclosed. Fering is set to produce prototype models for evaluation before moving on to full-scale production. It is worth noting that these military adaptations will be manufactured alongside the civilian versions.

Kielce, Poland, September 11, 2023 - The Polish Defense Industry has introduced the HOMAR-K MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System), a fusion of South Korean technology and Polish engineering. This new system is an adaptation of the K239 Chunmoo MLRS from South Korea, integrated into the chassis of the Polish-manufactured Jelcz 8x8 truck, type 882.57.

On September 8, 2023, Lithuania's National Defence Ministry announced a substantial addition to Ukraine's defense capabilities with a comprehensive military aid package. The latest contribution includes 4.5 million rounds of ammunition. This follows a $44 million defense aid package revealed in August, which included a wide range of equipment, from ammunition for Carl Gustaf hand grenade launchers to anti-drone systems.

On September 11, 2023, Mariusz Błaszczak, Poland's Defense Minister, approved a framework agreement for the purchase of 486 additional M142 HIMARS missile launcher components, designed to be integrated into the HOMAR-A system. The Defense Ministry confirmed the deal, valued at approximately $10 billion.

Spectra Group (UK) Ltd, a specialist provider of secure voice, data and satellite communications systems, announces the procurement by the British Ministry of Defense of Troposcatter Compact Over-the horizon Mobile Expeditionary Terminal (COMET) systems and a comprehensive spare support package for 7 Signal Group and use by the UK’s strategic land warfare asset 3 (UK) Division. As announced in September 2019, Spectra Group is the UK and NATO distributor for Troposcatter on behalf of US company Comtech Systems Inc.
