The Russian Army has recently integrated a new mobile command and control system, the P-230T, into its Tigr-M light armored vehicles. The P-230T system was showcased at the Army 2023 military exhibition and is designed to enhance the command and control capabilities of battalion commanders.

The arrival of your next batch of ammunition or rations via drones may become a reality in as little as a couple of years, following the awarding of innovation contracts aimed at developing uncrewed aerial systems for tactical logistics. These contracts were granted in August, after companies successfully presented their concepts at Army Innovation Day 2022.

On September 10, 2023, the Russian Ministry of Defense received a new batch of upgraded BREM-1M armored recovery and repair vehicles. The delivery was made by Uralvagonzavod as part of a state defense contract. The German government has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply 40 more Marder M1A3 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. Placed in August 2023, the order is worth a high double-digit million-euro amount. Rheinmetall is pressing ahead with work to overhaul these older vehicles and ensure that the latest lot of Marder IFVs can be delivered as per contract starting in 2023.

The Defense Technology Institute (DTI) of Thailand conducted tests on its D-Iron RCV (Robotic Combat Vehicle) for the Royal Thai Army (RTA) from August 22 to 24, 2023, in Saraburi Province. This comes approximately 18 months after Milrem Robotics in Estonia delivered the base system to DTI in Thailand. The vehicle is built on the THeMIS Combat UGV platform developed by Milrem Robotics in Estonia.

The Russian army has received a new type of smoke grenade, the RDG-U, which is said to be capable of providing camouflage against guided missiles. Developed by the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIITochMash JSC), the RDG-U has been approved for mass production after receiving an O1 designation from the Interdepartmental Commission.

U.S.-based defense companies Lockheed Martin and Raytheon have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, a Polish defense company. The MOU aims to explore the establishment of a final assembly facility and component production capabilities for Javelin anti-tank weapons in Poland, according to a joint statement released by the companies.

The Defense Department announced on September 6 an additional security assistance package for Ukraine valued at up to $175 million. The package includes additional air defense equipment, artillery rounds and anti-tank weapons. This latest round of assistance marks the 46th drawdown of equipment from DOD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021 and reflects the U.S. enduring commitment in the face of Russian aggression.

Developed by the Military Institute of Armament Technology (MIAT, or WITU in Polish), the Goblin is designed to be a versatile asset on the battlefield, capable of fulfilling both reconnaissance and combat roles.

The L403A1 AIW (Alternative Individual Weapon) rifle has been added to the arsenal of the British Army, specifically for the Army Special Operations Brigade (ASOB). This weapon is part of a £90 million contract and is expected to enhance the operational capabilities of British troops.

During the Polish MSPO 2023 exhibition, the Brzza command vehicle was presented by the Polish company Ottokar. The vehicle is designed to serve as the nerve center for anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) operations. Built on the chassis of a 4x4 tactical multi-purpose vehicle known as WARAN, the Brzza is an integral part of the command system for the BRIMESTONE ATGM battery module.
