Mariusz Błaszczak, the Polish Minister of National Defense, has officially sanctioned a Letter of Acceptance with the U.S. Army to enhance Poland's WISŁA air and missile defense capabilities. This augmentation involves the incorporation of 12 Lower-Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensors (LTAMDS) and the inclusion of 48 Patriot launchers. This milestone marks the initiation of the Foreign Military Sale and signifies Poland's distinction as the inaugural international customer to integrate the advanced 360-degree LTAMDS radar, developed by Raytheon, an RTX subsidiary, into its air and missile defense infrastructure

At the MSPO 2023 International Defence Industry Exhibition, Poland proudly displayed its newly qualified P-18PL radar system. Developed by the PIT-Radwar consortium and the Military University of Technology, this advanced 3D radar with an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna is set to revolutionize Poland's air defense capabilities. The system is designed to integrate with Poland's Wisła and Narew anti-aircraft missile systems and can also serve as an initial guidance radar for other air and missile defense systems.

At the MSPO 2023 event, Poland showcases its recently acquired M1A1 Abrams tank, one of several foreign tank models procured to modernize and augment its tank inventory. Over the past few months, Poland has provided Ukraine with a substantial number of tanks, primarily consisting of Russian-made T-72 and Polish-made PT-91 Twardy. To replace these, Poland has placed significant orders for American-made M1A1 and M1A2 SEPv3 tanks, as well as K2 tanks developed in South Korea.

The aircraft is not only smaller and lighter but also more cost-effective than existing solutions. EuroTrophy GmbH has been awarded a contract from KNDS (KMW+NEXTER Defense Systems) for the Leopard 2 A8 programs for Germany and Norway. KNDS is the result of the association of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Nexter, based in Germany and France and forming the European leader in Land Defense systems.

Alcon Components Ltd, a UK-based brake and clutch company, has received a major order from Babcock, Supacat’s build partners to supply 70 HMT vehicle braking systems. The order has been placed to enable the production of 70 new Jackal vehicles for the British Ministry of Defence, a contract that was signed between UK Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) and Supacat in February 2023. Alcon will commence production immediately and will be delivering components to Supacat and their build partners Babcock throughout the remainder of the build.

At the 2023 MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition, the Kafar Aero 4×4 light air-dropped vehicle is being introduced as a collaborative effort from a consortium of four Polish firms: Auto Podlasie, Auto Special Modlniczka, Hibneryt, and Kafar Bartłomiej Sztukiert. Based on the Toyota Land Cruiser design, this versatile vehicle is engineered for a range of military applications, from transporting equipment and supplies via airdrop to towing artillery systems.

During the MSPO 2023 exhibition, Skyborne Technologies, an Australian company specializing in smart aerial robotics for defense and security applications, introduces its Cerberus GLH unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The Cerberus GLH aims to make strides in the field of tactical aerial fire support, offering potential benefits for defense and security operations.

The 2023 edition of the MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition features the unveiling of the Baobab-K, a truck-mounted scatterable mine-laying system. Developed through a collaboration between Polish companies Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) S.A., Jelcz, Belma, WB Group, and the Military Institute of Engineering Technology, the system aims to offer a range of options for the automatic deployment of barrier minefields.

Peravia Personal Aviation, a Polish aerospace company, is unveiling two notable innovations in the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) sector - the Peravia 6U Spectre and 4U Spectre drones. Peravia's approach differs from conventional VTOL systems that rely on tilt rotors or wings. Their design emphasizes simplicity, lightweight construction, efficiency, and safety. These vehicles can perform vertical takeoffs and transition seamlessly to horizontal flight without complex mechanisms or moving parts, thanks to the GB – Self Vectoring Thruster. This solution offers versatility for various aircraft types.
