Yugoimport, the Serbian state-owned defense company, unveiled a new variant of the Milosh BOV M16 4x4 multi-purpose armored combat vehicle at the Partner 2023 exhibition in Serbia. This version is equipped with the Kerber remotely controlled weapon station (RCWS), featuring a three-barrel 20 mm gun designed primarily for engaging a wide range of targets. The Kerber system was first introduced at the Partner 2019 exhibition and is an adaptable combat platform suitable for integration into combat vehicles (both wheeled and tracked), naval vessels, and stationary defense structures.

The Malyutka Povr 2T5 anti-armored guided missile, currently showcased at the Partner 2023 exhibition in Serbia, is a product of the Military Technical Institute under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia. This long-range missile is designed to neutralize tanks and other armored vehicles, as well as firing posts and fortifications.

Currently at the Partner 2023 exhibition, the Military Technical Institute under the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia introduced a short-range combat multicopter named Obad. This Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) is designed for rapid deployment and high mobility in military applications. Obad is engineered to engage both stationary and mobile targets, including armored and non-armored vehicles, as well as troops.

During the Partner 2023 expo, Serbia unveiled a new troop transport vehicle. The OT 4x4, developed by Serbia's Military Technical Institute, is a personnel carrier designed to operate in a variety of conditions, whether they be climatic or tactical. This vehicle is specifically engineered for the secure transport of 11 individuals, including the driver and gunner, and comes equipped with a 12.7 mm caliber turret.

At the Partner 2023 exhibition, the Serbian automotive and defense company Zastava Tervo unveils a new variant of its Zastava NTV SUV. The Zastava NTV Special Forces vehicle has been designed to cater to the needs of special units within the Republic of Serbia. It is intended for use in controlling demonstrations, special operations, and organized escorts and is based on the Zastava NTV 40.13H Extended Cab version.

The Zastava M20 MRAP 6x6 is an armored vehicle designed for the safe transport of military units. The vehicle has modular capabilities, allowing it to be adapted for various roles including the transport of heavy cargo, weapons, and wounded soldiers. Currently on display at the Partner 2023 exhibition, the vehicle is produced by Zastava Tervo. It is built with a focus on ballistic and anti-mine protection and features a low silhouette. The vehicle is equipped with a dependent bridge suspension system.

In an era when many nations are actively exploring the integration of unmanned systems into their armed forces, the Serbian teams from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Niš and from Coming Computer Engineering Belgrade introduced the Universal Autonomous Robotic Platform (UARP) at the Partner 2023 exhibition. Countries are prompted not only to experiment with new drones but also to develop novel tactics and strategies to incorporate UGVs, drones, and UAVs alongside traditional troops and manned systems, as the nature of warfare itself is evolving, with drones emerging as central components of military strategies.

At Partner 2023, Serbia's Military Technical Institute unveiled a modernized variant of the BOV M-83 anti-tank guided missile carrier, equipped with a new launching and semi-automatic guiding system for 2T5 and Malyutka (Malyutka 9M14P1 and improved Malyutka 2T and Malyutka 2F) anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). This new guiding system was designed for the modernization of military platforms capable of being equipped with Malyutka missiles.

Social media posts on September 22, 2023, showcased the firing tests of a prototype 105mm CS/AH2 light artillery projectile, Defense Studies reports. This collaborative endeavor is a result of the partnership between the National Defense Technology Institute (DTI) and the Artillery Center of the Royal Thai Army, which was formalized through a memorandum of understanding inked on March 15, 2023.

This contract serves to fulfill recurring needs related to Jeep J8 tactical vehicles and associated equipment, spare parts kits, specialized tools, supplementary equipment, including recurrent services and training. This equipment is intended to meet the requirements for transporting counter-narcotics forces tactically in support of partner nations collaborating with the United States in counter-narcotics endeavors.

At the Partner 2023 International Defense Exhibition held in Belgrade, Serbia, the Serbian company Yugoimport showcases a new variant of the Lazar 3, the latest iteration of its 8x8 wheeled armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV), armed with a twin-barrel 30 mm remote-controlled weapon station RCWS 30/2. Since its unveiling in 2016, this armored vehicle is known for its adaptability, advanced features, and formidable performance. Currently, the Lazar 3 is in active service with both Serbia and Turkmenistan.

The Military Technical Institute, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, announced the development of a new unmanned aerial system (UAS) named OBAD. During Partner 2023, the Military Technical Institute, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, has developed a remote-controlled anti-tank system known as Apos. Designed to be a modern, stationary, and wireless system, Apos aims to enhance defense capabilities against Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) and other types of Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs).

The Lazanski 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle is currently on display at the Partner 2023 exhibition in Serbia. Entirely designed and developed by the Serbian company Yugoimport, this heavy armored vehicle is equipped with a 57mm remotely controlled weapon station (RCWS). This is a completely new vehicle, not based on the Lazar 8x8 family of armored vehicles.

During Partner 2023, a new Serbian anti-tank missile is presented. The Malyutka 2F is a guided anti-tank missile developed by the Military Technical Institutes under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia. This missile is a modified version of the anti-armor Malyutka 9M14P1 and comes equipped with a thermobaric warhead. This warhead is designed to neutralize a variety of targets, including unarmored vehicles, ground troops, firing posts, and fortifications.

At the Partner 2023 exhibition held in Serbia, the M120M is revealed to the public. The semi-automatic mobile mortar system, developed by the Military Technical Institute under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, is designed to serve as a close support weapon for infantry. The system aims to provide a versatile and robust solution for a variety of combat scenarios, ranging from artillery preparation to defense operations.

On September 25, the U.S. Department of Defense awarded six Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program grants totaling approximately $30 million from the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation. The DMCSP makes long-term investments in critical skills, facilities, workforce development, research and development, and small business support to strengthen the national security innovation base.
