HUBER+SUHNER has been awarded a multi-million-pound subcontract to supply radio frequency and low-frequency cable harnesses for the British Army's Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV) Programme. This subcontract aims to ensure the provision of reliable cable harnesses that meet safety and mission-critical requirements for the Boxer MIVs used by the British Army.

Rheinmetall and its partner, UVision Air Ltd., are showcasing the Hero Loitering Munition family at DSEI 2023. The Hero Loitering Munition allows frontline forces to benefit from advanced intelligence gathering, target acquisition, and long-range firepower, thereby simplifying operations that previously required complex coordination between multiple units.

Delivering superb value-for-money for taxpayers, the flexible training is designed to evolve to meet modern-day threats and involves emulating fast jets, uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and other aircraft that are called in by troops on the ground to strike targets, provide a 'show of force' or pattern of life above the battlefield. It is an essential requirement that key troops within UK Land and Marine forces develop and maintain their expertise and are ready for action when needed to protect the UK's national interests.

At DSEI 2023, Rheinmetall announced that the Challenger 3 (CR3) program has achieved a significant milestone with the successful test firings of its 120mm smoothbore cannon. Conducted in April of this year, these tests employed the 120mmL55A1 weapon system in the 120mmL55A1CR3 configuration, designed for the British Main Battle Tank (MBT) CR3. This new weapon system aims to provide the British Army with the capabilities required to address current and future battlefield challenges.

The Estonian-Croatian defense start-up Vegvisir has unveiled its mixed-reality-based situational awareness system at the DSEI 2023 exhibition in London. The company is showcasing two distinct solutions, Vegvisir Core and Vegvisir Remote. It can be transported by various means, including pickup trucks, military vehicles, or air-dropped, making it adaptable to various locations and capable of operating as a standalone unit for over a week.

Saab and ST Engineering (Singapore Technologies Engineering) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI), London on 13 September 2023.
