At DefExpo 2016, the Land, Naval & Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition which takes place in Goa (India), the latest combat vehicles and tanks including Arjun Mk I, Arjun Mk II, Kestrel 8x8 armoured vehicle and Tata Motors MPV 4x4 mine protected vehicle demonstrated their operational capabilities and their mobility during a live demonstration.
     
     
The Arjun Mk I is a main battle tank developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), for the Indian Army. Arjun MBT, designed to Indian Army's most stringent specifications, represents the translation of advanced design into a reliable and effective weapon system to meet the varied threats of the modern warfare.

Main armament of the Arjun Mk-1 is a 120mm calibre rifled gun together with the newly developed super FSAPDS ammunition, can defeat any contemporary armour used in tanks.

The turret and glacis are protected with "Kanchan" ("gold") modular composite armour, which derived its name from Kanchan Bagh, Hyderabad, where the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) is located. Kanchan is made by sandwiching composite panels between Rolled Homogenous Armour (RHA).

The Indian Army ordered 124 Arjuns in 2000. The Arjun entered service with the Indian Army in 2004. The tanks were first inducted into the 43 Armoured Regiment, Indian Army Armoured Corps while the latest induction has been into the 75 Armoured Regiment on 12 March 2011.

The Arjun Mk-2 is a new generation of main battle tank (MBT) designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of India. The Arjun Mk II was unveiled for the first time to the public during a military parade for the National Day in New Delhi on 26 January, 2014.

The main armament of the Arjun Mk II main battle tank comprises a 120mm rifled gun fitted with a thermal sleeve, fume extractor, and a muzzle reference system. The gun is able to fire a full range of ammunitions including FSAPDS (Fin Stabilized Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot), HESH (High-Explosive Squash Head), PCB, TB and the Israeli LAser Homing Anti-Tank (LAHAT) missile. LAser Homing Attack Missile, or LAHAT, is an advanced missile developed and manufactured by the MBT Division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The Arjun Mark-II version completed most user trials in 2012 and 2013 and displayed impressive performance.

At DefExpo 2014, the Land, Naval & Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition in New Delhi, the Indian Defense Company TATA Motors has unveiled its new local-made 8x8 amphibious armoured vehicle platform, the "Kestrel".

The layout of the Kestrel is standard with the driver and powerpack at the front, th turret in the middle and the troop's compartment at the rear. Kestrel has a scalable 22.5 ton to 26 ton gross weight and a capacity to carry 10 + 2 personnel.

At DefExpo 2016, the Kestrel 8x8 armoured vehicle was fitted with a Soviet-made BMP-2 turret armed with a stabilized 30 mm cannon 2A42 and a 7.62 mm PKT coaxial machine gun mounted to the left of the main armament with 2,000 rounds. A bank of three smoke grenade dischargers is mounted on each side of the turret.

The MPV is a 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the Indian Company Tata Motors. It's a mine protected vehicle which can be used as APC offering high level of ballistic and IEDs protection.

The powerpack is mounted at the front of the vehicle, with the crew compartment in the middle and the troops are seated at the rear of the hull.

The Tata Motors MPV can carried a total of 13 military personnel including driver and commander.

The MPV is motorized with a Cummins ISBe Turbo charged after-cooled Diesel engine developing 242 hp at 2,500 rpm. It can run at a maximum speed of 100 km/hr with a maximum cruising range of 800 km.
