Within the French Army, these flagship products • like VBL (Light Armored Vehicle) - are used on daily basis in operation, for intelligence, patrol or combat purposes. Therefore, over 1,600 VBLs are operated in the French Army, most often in armored units. On the other hand it is worth mentioning that 700 VBLs are operating in about fifteen countries, in particular in the Middle East, for very different kinds of missions.

The PANHARD range has been increased by delivering PVP (Small Protected Vehicle), a four-wheel drive tactical liaison vehicle, whose purpose consists in being used in the most sensitive missions, in particular within the ISAF Force in Afghanistan.

As for PVP-XL - with a three-ton payload capability - it is the solution to replace French Army's armored transporters, and it con fulfill a wide array of missions under various climate conditions. Among the various other company's products, there is the logistic array, with the TC10, TC24, or TC54 trucks, with a one-ton to five-ton payload capability.

Recently, PANHARD has developed the WASP remote-controlled cupola, which is an answer to the self- defense requirement for light-armored-vehicles, and tactical transportation assets, in France and for export. Weighing less than 50 kg, fitted with an IR (Infro-Red) camera, the WASP enables middle-range observation. The Wasp system can be mounted on board an armored vehicle very easily, as the control display operated by the vehicle commander or by any other crew-member is the only device to be set up. The WASP is designed to be armed with a 30-caliber machine-gun.
