The ACV-19 120mm mortar carrier incorporates all of the mobility, reliability improvements of the ACV-19, including powertrain, engine diagnostics, driver's station, and electrical system.

The ACV-19 SPM120 variant is a self-propelled mortar configuration to provide indirect fire support. The ACV-19 mortar carrier has a 120mm mortar mounted on turntable in the rear which fires through a large hatch in the roof. For its self-protection a 7.62mm machine is mounted at the front top of the hull.

It has a capacity of carrying 5 personnel including driver, commander/gunner and mortar crew.

The ACV-19 chassis is a derivative of the ACV-15 FoVs which is already in the inventory of Malaysian, United Arab Emirates and Philippines Armed Forces. The ACV-19 has been in service as "Command Post" and "120 mm Mortar" vehicle configurations in two different countries.

The differences between ACV-15 and ACV-19 consist primarily of a longer (stretched) hull (6 road wheels), heavy duty final drives, more aggressive suspension. The ACV-19 offers more volume under armour, more payload capacity than ACV. This means that the ACV-19 chassis can carry high payloads such as greater payload turrets, and still provide the comparable performance as a standard ACV-15. In addition, it is 90% spare parts commonality to ACV-15.

The ACV-19 chassis are provided with a unique, space laminated armor system combining steel and aluminium technology to provide a high level of armor protection against direct KE threats. Also, the hull provides protection against mines.
