DSA 2022: Malvus Sense from Malaysia delivers CW-25DE VTOL aerial drone to Malaysian army


The Malaysian company Malvus Sense displays the VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) quadcopter drone CW-25DE at DSA 2022, a defense exhibition in Malaysia. This drone is now in service with the Malaysian army.

The CW-25DE was developed and designed in China by the company JOUAV and is assembled in Malaysia by the company Malvus Sense.

The CW-25DE is a hybrid (battery and petrol) VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) fixed-wing UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) platform. The drone is designed to boost the quality, efficiency, and safety of data collection. The CW-25DE can conduct 180 min continuous target identification, tracking and evidence collection on land, at sea, and in the air.

The CW-25DE is equipped with the all-new MG120E EO/IR gimbal camera and high-resolution video link, providing high images resolution during day and night operations and can safely accomplish different types of missions in large hazardous locations.

The operators can also navigate the CW-25DE while using the JOUAV® Eagle Map™ through the ground control station. This software provides operators with integrated functions includes mission planning, video surveillance, real-time mosaic, AI processing, multi-station networking, remote take-off & landing, etc, which will offer you real-time situational awareness and actionable intelligence.

The CW-25De design consists of a short fuselage with two fixed-wing and four-rotor used to conduct vertical take-off and landing. During its flight, the drone is propelled by a four-stroke gasoline engine fitted with a two-blade rotor. The drone can fly at a cruising speed of 72 km with an endurance of up to 180 min. It can reach a maximum altitude of 6,000 m and can be controlled up to a maximum distance of 50 km.
