At the 2018 Eurosatory show from 11 to 15 June 2018 on the exterior site of the German pavilion stand D 240, Mercedes-Benz is presenting the world premieres of the Arocs 6x6 for defence tasks. The product range includes a variety of trucks of different sizes and payloads, plus engines for several fuel classes and emission standards for logistical and tactical tasks.

The world premiere of the Arocs Euro VI 6x6 as the basis for various military applications is being presented, a specialist for heavy-duty applications which can carry a payload of up to twelve tonnes with its single tyres and 26 tonnes permissible gross vehicle weight. It applies its high power equally reliably and effectively in difficult terrain and on the road. The Arocs additionally provides for particularly economical operations with its fuel-efficient Euro VI engine, the extended service lives of many components, low repair and maintenance costs and high body-mounting ability.

The robust and high-torque Euro VI OM 470 engine with 315 kW (428 hp) and a torque of 2100 Nm in conjunction with the Mercedes PowerShift3 automated transmission and unique suspension and frame design form the vehicle's core. For the best possible traction and good steerability the drive system, chassis, suspension and frame form a precisely coordinated working team which is optimally configured in all Arocs vehicles for the particular application in question on the road or in extreme terrain.

The commercially available Arocs has been given special equipment for performing logistical and tactical tasks in accordance with the requirements of the security services and armed forces. As well as the colour scheme this includes a stealth brake lamp and personal protective equipment and kit.
