Daimler started the demo time with an armored version of its G-series, the G Wagon, and a Unimog U5023, a truck that has been – and probably remains – the most efficient truck of the world in matter of off-road performances.

Milrem and FN Herstal took over. Following a successful partnership in displaying the deFNder Medium Remote Weapon Station (RWS) fitted onto the THeMIS Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) at the DSEI exhibition in London last year, FN Herstal and Milrem Robotics repeated the demo this Sunday 10 June at Eurosatory. The deFNder and THeMIS was remotely operated, and the later equipped with an autonomy kit that allows the vehicle to drive with minimal operator assistance, i.e. between waypoints. The concept allows deploying an armed ground vehicle whilst ensuring operators are kept at a safe distance from combat and continue to make all the critical decisions. Demonstrations will take place twice a day (morning and afternoon) during the exhibition. The demonstrated deFNder Medium featured a 7.62x51mm FN MAG general purpose machine gun. The FN Herstal deFNder Medium also accepts the .50 cal FN M2HB-QCB or FN M3R machine gun without modification.

Azur Drones gave an efficient demo of its “wonder”, a top-ranking drone that can fulfill very demanding performances for police and military purposes.

Protecop, specialized in personal protective equipment, demonstrated the use of some of their products, namely in the field of armored suits for deminors. For the circumstance, they were associated with Aeneas, the company that ensures the security of the Eurosatory event.

A major player in Project Scorpion, Arquus, the new name for Renault Trucks Defense, demonstrated its Dagger light armored multipurpose vehicle. Chevrolet followed with other 4x4 armored vehicles, namely designed for military or police special forces.

Sides gave a particular demo of a 6x6 firetruck designed to operate on air bases. Manitou showcased two models of its renown family, a small one and a large model with armored driving compartment. Isuzu demonstrated the outstanding performances of two pickup trucks equipped with off-road tires.

The Streit Group demonstrated the Sherp, a very special 4x4 vehicle whose huge low-pressure tires indicate a machine designed to operate on hard ground, marshy areas and water without any change to pass from an environment to another.
