American Company AM General continues to offer its full range of HUMVEE tactical vehicles family for Latin America armed forces at ExpoDefensa 2019, the International Defense and Security Exhibition in Bogota, Colombia. The high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) is a tactical vehicle designed and produced in the United States by the Company AM General.

The HUMVEE is one of the most popular tactical vehicles in the world, and AM General is expanding with increased international sales of HMMWVs and the need to modernize and maintain more than 160,000 HMMWVs still employed by the U.S. armed forces, including the National Guard.

According to military sources, Colombian armed forces have a total of 800 HUMVEE including different variants as the M1151A1 and M1152A1 that were presented on the booth of the Colombian Navy at ExpoDefensa 2019, the International Defense and Security Exhibition in Bogota, Colombia.

The M1151 is an Expanded Capacity Armament Carrier IAP/Armor Ready HMMWV. Designed as an armament carrier, the M1151 provides for the mounting and firing of various weapons systems that are ring-mounted with a 360 degree-arc of fire, while also offering an optional Gunners Protection Kit and Manual Traversing Unit.

The M1152A1 HMMWV (Humvee) is an improved cargo/troop carrier configuration of the HMMWV family, used primarily to transport personnel, but could also be used as a shelter carrier. The M1152 is an Expanded Capacity Enhanced IAP/Armor Ready cargo/ troop carrier/utility vehicle. The M1152 can carry up to eight passengers with the Armor Troop Enclosure or Troop Seat option. It can be configured in ambulance version.
