The Turkish Company STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. was established in 1991 by the decree of the Defence Industry Executive Committee to provide system engineering, technical support, project management, technology transfer and logistics support services for Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM).

STM has been heavily involved in the naval project, particularly in the last 10 years. With the development of Turkish Navy National Corvette Program (MiLGEM), STM has been authorized to improve Turkey’s indigenous capability of naval shipbuilding and modernization as well as using the deep-routed experience of Turkey in order to provide solutions for Turkish Navy and allied & friendly countries.

STM offers a wide range of products with autonomous navigation, learning and decision making capabilities, both in a single-platform and swarm formation. STM's competence on deep learning and computer vision facilitates real-time object detection, identification, tracking and classification. The family of drone designed by STM includes the KARFU, a multirotor UAV, the ALPAGU a fixed-wing UAV and the Togan.

STM is also a solution provider for integrated cybersecurity and defence and a trusted partner for cyber domain R&D and solution development and fully capable of designing R&D projects, product development and operational support and it aims to be a globally recognized Centre of Excellence in the cyber domain.

Based on Turkey’s Cyber Action Plan, STM is responsible from precautions and respond to the incident, analysis and risk assessment.
