IDEF 2021: Turkish company RST displays Gambi explosive device detection and disposal robot

The 65kg Gambi robot can operate with two essential modes: one is detection and the other one is disposal, with secure pedestrian path marking. It can operate between -30°C and +60°C, with a 300m range if wireless or 100m with wire. The robot is compatible with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.

Gambi EMI/GPR robot is a robust, tracked outdoor assistant that that consists of an EMI (electromagnetic induction) and GPR (ground penetration radar) sensor, a robotic arm with a gripper, a mast mechanism, cameras, a marker system and a joystick tablet remote control station.

In the detection mode, the sensor can detect metallic and plastic explosives embedded underground with a high precision. In the disposal mode, the sensor can be replaced with a gripper integrated robotic arm to implement various manipulations.

It can climb a 20cm vertical obstacle, a 40cm-wide trench, a 50% gradient and a 20% side slope. Various cameras enable a wide range of control modes. Many other devices mounted on the robot make it usable in all the “classic” conditions imposed on such robots.
