With its Armed Trailer Solution, the Turkish company UNIDEF has developed a new concept of a mobile weapon system that can be easily and rapidly deployed to protect important facilities or to increase the protection of borders in emergency situations.

The Armed Trailer Solution displayed at IDEF 2021 is based on a two axles trailer that can be towed by a light tactical or armored vehicle. In the firing position, four hydraulic jacks are lowered on the ground. An armored container is mounted on the trailer providing ballistic protection. The roof of the container is fitted with a retractable weapon station that can be armed with a 5.56 or 7.62 mm machine gun or Gatling Gun system.

The turret can be also fitted with a wide range of accessories including radar, camera, non-lethal launcher system, jammer according to mission requirements. The trailer has its own power source and has been designed as a self-sufficient system that does not need to be powered by an external power source.

The retractable weapon system is fully electrically operated and is controlled thanks to a mobile operator command terminal using computerized sight to conduct all the firing operations. The turret can be controlled from outside of the containerized trailer via a cable.
