Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks is one of the leading manufacturers of vehicles for defence and security forces. The product portfolio covers a payload range from 0.5 tonnes to 250 tonnes gross combination weight and also includes a diverse selection of truck sizes and payloads, as well as engines for several different fuel qualities and emissions norms, all destined for logistics tasks. Some models available comply with the Euro VI emissions norm.

The Sprinter in its latest declination has been equipped as a panel van for electronic observation applications. Presented in February 2019, the new Sprinter generation will also be presented at IDEX in an exemplary Panel Van variant. Specialist firm Elettronica (ELT) has equipped the vehicle for electronic monitoring and observation applications. The Sprinter with a permissible gross weight of 3.5 tonnes, of which 1.4 tonnes are available as payload, is driven by an OM 651 diesel engine (Euro 6c) with an output of 120 kW (164 hp) via the rear wheels. Its lighting equipment features LED technology, while numerous assistance systems (Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Highbeam Assist and adaptive brake lights) relieve strain on the driver whilst also increasing the safety of the team on-board the vehicle.

Are also presented : Zetros 3543A 8x8 with hook-lift body, Unimog U 5000 with folding top, Arocs 4663 AS 8x8/4 tractor unit, G-Class MRV – Multi-Role Vehicle, G-Class 4x4 Chassis-Cab.

The G-Class is represented at the show both in the form of a chassis-cab vehicle and as a Multi-Role Vehicle (MRV). The special chassis FGA 14.5 will be exhibited using virtual augmented reality. The Mercedes-Benz Special Chassis will, for the first time ever, only be present at IDEX in the form of an augmented reality version edition for the visitors to see.
