IDEX 2021 will be the first major defense exhibition held in the life – not virtual – way taking place since the Covid-19 pandemic started to provoke international defense and security exhibitions cancellation after cancellation, or delays, from early 2020.

IDEX is the most important defense exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with more than 1,300 exhibitors and more than 105,000 visitors from 142 countries. During one year, most of the international defense exhibitions were canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis. This year, IDEX will be the first defense event for national and international defense companies to showcase the latest technologies and innovations of defense and security products.

IDEX, it's also an opportunity for visitors and trade professionals of the worldwide defense sectors to come to the United Arab Emirates to create new business and create new relations with the local and international defense industry. This unique event will be also attended by 170 ministries of Defense and government delegations coming from the five continents.

IDEX is the only international defense exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defense and security, with a strong focus on ground-based military equipment.

IDEX is also a prime platform to reach Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and to establish and strengthen relationships with government departments, businesses, and armed forces. The GCC is the third-largest spender on defense, with a combined annual budget of more than US$100 billion.
