The 2nd UAE World Firefighter Challenge was being held in collaboration with Reed Exhibitions and organised by the Ministry of Interior.

Represented by the Civil Defense General Command, in collaboration with the UAE-based 911 Challenge, the competition has been run throughout the three days of ISNR, with the UAE national team competing with a number of teams from around the world.

Competitors have faced a series of unique motivational competitions, which will test their basic fitness skills, stamina and innovation, as well as their capacity to exchange know-how with their colleagues.

The competition consists of six key tasks that test firefighters' basic strength and stamina, including stair climbing, hose hoisting, forcible entry, running, hose advancing and victim rescue.

The tasks will vary from competitor climbing a three-storey tower while carrying a 20kg high rise pack of hose, to dragging a 80 kg Rescue Randy mannequin over a distance of 30 metres.

Army Recognition Defense and Security Web TV followed the firefighters of France during races by team and we can say that the French firemen showed a high level of physical training during these three days of competition.
