Pakistani army would like to modernize the Corps of Artillery to prepare future threat.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif of the Pakistani Army on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, said that our country would do all that was possible to modernise the Corps of Artillery as part of its overall drive to prepare for the future threat. He made these remarks during his visit to the regimental centre of the Corps of Artillery at Attock, on the occasion of annual commanding officers conference.

He appreciated the gunners for displaying highest standards in all professional pursuits, including their befitting participation in operations. He said that Pakistan Army would do all that is possible to modernize the corps of artillery as part of its overall drive to prepare for the future threats.

Speaking on the leadership traits, the Chief of the Army Staff emphasized cardinals of character, courage and competence as the core ingredients of a military leader to inspire his subordinates and accomplish his assigned mission.

Earlier on his arrival at the regimental centre, the COAS was received by the Colonel Commandant Corps of Artillery, Lieutenant General Tariq Nadeem Gillani and Inspector General Arms Lieutenant General Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry.
