Tata Motors has awarded an order to supply around 1,200 vehicles of its high-mobility 6X6 multi-axle trucks, from the Indian Army – the single largest order awarded to an Indian private original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in land systems under the DPP by the Indian army. The order for 6X6 vehicles is for ‘material handling cranes’ for the loading-unloading and transportation of ammunition pallets, spares and other operational equipment.

Army Recognition has learned that Lockheed Martin stopped its association with Finnish company Patria on the Havoc 8x8 Armored Modular Vehicle program. The Havoc was Lockheed Martin's entry in the U.S. Marine Corps' Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) Phase I program. Lockheed Martin will instead run its very own vehicle program. The design of this vehicle is expected to be unveiled at Modern Day Marine defense show in September.

Russia is set to supply the Iraqi army with approximately 400 advanced mine clearing vehicles. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has inked a 'secret' contract with Russia to equip the Iraqi army with the demining vehicles, the agency quotes a senior Iraqi official as saying without releasing his name.

According to local newspaper, Ugandan Government is seeking Parliament’s approval to borrow €667 million ($740.5M) from Russia to purchase what it has identified as classified equipment for further strengthening of the military and security infrastructure. Uganda is a part of the African Union Mission to Somali (AMISOM) since 2007 with more than 6,000 troops.

The PRV will replace the aging fleet of V200 armoured vehicles, which have been in service since 1970. PRV armoured vehicle was unveiled during a military parade held on June 28. Peacekeeper Protected Response Vehicle is a 6x6 armoured personnel carrier / MRAP based on Renault Trucks Defense HIGUARD armoured vehicle.

The Army moved closer to releasing its long-awaited solicitation for a new, modern handgun system when it hosted a fourth industry day for interested vendors at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, July 8. The Army named the new weapon the "XM17" Modular Handgun System. It will replace the current M9 standard Army handgun with a more state-of-the-art weapon system.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on July 7, 2015.

BOXER vehicle has been delivered to the customers according to contract by the ARTEC GmbH (ARmoured vehicle TEChnology) industrial group, a joint venture of KMW and Rheinmetall Man Military Vehicles. The vehicle was an Ambulance BOXER for the Royal Netherlands Army. In total the Army of Germany and the Royal Netherlands Army have ordered 472 vehicles in a first batch.
