Snipers of the Eastern Military District’s combined-arms army have received a batch of the Kord large-caliber sniper rifles, the district’s press service reported.

"Sniper units of the Eastern Military District’s combined-arms army, stationed in the Amur Region, have received a batch of the 12.7-mm Kord army large-caliber sniper rifles (ASVK), the press service said. The ASVK Kord is designed to engage lightly armored vehicles at ranges up to one kilometer, manpower wearing bullet-proof vests, as well as enemy snipers at ranges of up to one and a half kilometers. The rifle is 1420 mm long and weighs 12.5 kg.
