Russia has completed testing of a long-range missile for the S-400 air defense system. A source told TASS this week that "the state trials for the 40N6E long-range missile for the S-400 system have been completed at the Kapustin Yar practice range. The inter-departmental commission has recognized them as successful and the corresponding certificate has been signed. The missile may be accepted for service before the end of summer."

Raytheon is developing a 100 kW class laser weapon system preliminary design for integration onboard the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. This is a $10 million U.S. Army's High Energy Laser Tactical Vehicle Demonstration program contract.

American Police Force based in Texas has received the BATT-X (Ballistic Armored Tactical Transport) to perform rescue operations. Police forces from all over the world face new threats as bombs and assault rifle used during terrorist attacks. These vehicles are often armored and can also be used to transport specialized equipment (for example, tactical equipment and breaching tools).

On June 28, Leonardo DRS announced it has been down-selected by the U.S. Army, and will begin negotiations, to provide its mission equipment package for the service’s accelerated Initial Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense (IM-SHORAD) effort. The mission equipment package includes kinetic and non-kinetic defeat capabilities and an on-board radar.

India's Defense Acquisitions Council (DAC) has given its final approval for the purchase of the Russian-made S-400 Triumf air defense missile system. The deal gained preliminary approval from the DAC in 2016.

Oshkosh Defense, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation company, has announced that the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center (TARDEC) awarded Oshkosh a $49 million contract to integrate existing Palletized Load System (PLS) vehicles with scalable autonomous technology as part of the U.S. Army’s Expedient Leader Follower (ExLF) program.

Rostec State Corporation said it offered Tornado-G salvo fire weapon on the international market and expects high demand. Tornado-G has to replace Grad which are operational in over 60 countries of the world, Rostec said.

The Israeli army has deployed several tank and artillery units on Sunday, into the Israeli-occupied Syrian territory of the Golan Heights. Merkava MBTs and M109A5 SPHs are involved in the operation.

On Sunday 1st July, four soldiers inside the hit VBCI operated by the 2nd Régiment Etranger d’Infanterie (2 REI) inside the GTIA (Groupement Tactique InterArmes) “Altor” (armed by the 2e Régiment Etranger de Parachutistes, 2 REP)) were wounded but no one was killed, demonstrating the high protection level offered by the ICV.
