During the handover ceremony in Rajlovac barracks in the capital Sarajevo, BiH’s Defense minister pointed out that this donation shows the U.S. commitment to a partnership with BiH: “It can be related to tasks that are based on the Law of BiH, whether it is peace missions, helping the population in case of natural disasters or military exercises,” Pendes said, adding that the donation will contribute to the operationalization of the country’s Armed Forces.

For his part, the US ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson stated that this marked another step in progress of BiH’s Armed Forces, which showed “to be a good partner to NATO members and the global fight against terrorism”. Nelson added that the donation will further contribute to the Armed Forces’ readiness to respond to natural disasters and other tasks in BiH.
