“We agreed to continue our co-operation, more especially as the maintenance of the helicopters which Russia will deliver to Afghanistan must be assured by the Russian companies. But we hope that our co-operation will not stop there. We also evoked other projects at the conclusion of the signing ceremony of the contract”, indicated M.Dzirkaln in an interview to RIA Novosti.

It is in particular a question of selling Russian materials to the Americans. “It would be too expensive to learn to the Afghan soldiers accustomed to the Russian and Soviet equipment to use the American materials. The American specialists recognize it too. It is thus about a reasonable approach which answers the American and Russian interests”, added the expert.
