More than 1,000 combat training events for Russian airborne troops during the summer.
Russian Airborne troops to conduct about 1,000 military combat training events during the summer training period. The intensive summer training period started in the Russian Airborne troops. The special attention will be paid to combat readiness of units and formations.

Commissioned with contract servicemen Airborne units will start practicing at training grounds during the first week of June.
 

During four months the Russian Airborne units will conduct several different command-and-staff exercises, joint interservice and interdepartamental trainings, and a number of international exercises, including exercises of the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization simultaneously.

Moreover, paratroopers will take part in the “Airborne platoon” all-army and international contests in the course of the International Army Games.

In total, during the summer training period the Russian Airborne will conduct about 1000 combat training events, including 250 different strategic, international and peacekeeping exercises. The combat training intensity will be raised by more than 20%.

Before the summer training period start, under control of the Russian Airborne Commander and his Deputies, different inspections, methodical, security and other exercises were held in all units and formations.
