Eastern Russian military school receives four A1 snowmobiles for training purposes
The Rokossovsky combined arms higher military school in the Far East received four latest army snowmobiles A1 to train future commanders of Arctic units, the press service of the Eastern Military District said.

A1 Snowmobiles
     
The A1 army snowmobile has been created on the basis of popular Taiga-Patrol-551SVT with two-stroke and two-cylinder RMZ-551 engine with 65 horsepower capacity. The army option of the vehicle has suspensions for two pairs of skies, a mortar, Kalashnikov and sniper rifle, heated passenger handles, expanded control panel, a bigger trunk which can house two metallic 20-liter canisters.

Besides, the model is equipped with prestart engine heating system which allows starting the engine in extremely low temperatures. The new snowmobiles reinforced the fleet of existing ones at the school. Snowmobile driving is an integral part of the training of future officers in the unique specialty called Engagement of Arctic motorized infantry units. The school is the only training center for officers in Polar areas.
