U.S. Army could deploy THAAD air defense missile system in Europe - Middle East and Asia

The U.S. Army will have five operational Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile systems by the end of the year with possible deployments in Europe and the Middle East, a senior American defense official said Tuesday. The United States is also in talks with South Korea for THAAD deployment in the Korean Peninsula amid nuclear threat from North Korea.

More British troops to take part in Iraqi Security Forces training program

Britain is set to pledge several dozen more troops to support the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) as they take the fight to Daesh. The UK's Defence Secretary has authorised an offer of more than 30 extra troops to provide training in areas such as logistics and bridge building, as well as specialist medical staff.
