"The TDA-3 is two to three times superior of its predecessors in terms of smokescreen output, generation speed and coverage area. In addition, the sophisticated aerosols it uses mask friendly forces from both visual observation and surveillance radars," the district says in a news release.

The vehicle carries an aircraft engine that transforms a smoke mixture to a thick smokescreen hiding the troops from both observation devices and infrared cameras," the press office added. The TDA-3 vehicle can generate both horizontal and vertical screens. The latter allows screening bridges and other big facilities. The large unit has already started learning to operate the advanced vehicles in accordance with the program.
