Russia develops helmet with integrated communication system for Ratnik combat gear


The Ratnik combat gear’s helmet will be equipped with an integrated communication system by 2025, the Defense Ministry’s press office quoted Chairman of the Army’s Military and Technical Committee Colonel Alexander Romanyuta as saying.

The communication system will make it possible to exchange various types of information and coordinate soldiers’ actions in real time, he added. "It is too early to say that all communication means have been integrated into a single tactical helmet. I believe that this will happen approximately from 2022 to 2025. These are our plans," Romanyuta said.

The second-generation Ratnik combat gear includes individual armor, firearms, sights, reconnaissance equipment, etc. It has been supplied to the army, the airborne force and marine units since 2016.
