The contract includes the delivery of 10,000 rounds of 30x173 mm armour-piercing ammunition, including programmable ones, and the modification of a system gun rest, along with the supply of tools and spare parts.

The German Army has planned to procure 350 Puma AIFVs by 2020. The new vehicles will replace the Marder A1 AIFVs currently in service. Its main armament is the Mauser MK30-2/ABM gun, complemented by an H&K MG-4 5.56mm machine gun and a EuroSpike Spike LR anti-tank launcher.
