The Nebo-UM radar (codename Niobiy) is a further development of Nebo-U with an amended composition of equipment produced with a new element base. The radar is designated to monitor air space, detect various targets and determine their coordinates. It can detect and track both aerodynamic (aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, etc.) and ballistic (missile warheads) objects. The radar equipment can detect targets, determine their coordinates and origin and transmit information to a command post or anti-aircraft units. Besides, it can take the bearings of jamming sources and determine their location. By the end of 2019 eleven Nebo-UM have to be supplied to the Defense Ministry.
