As a continuation of the implementation of the Algerian economic recovery program aimed at revitalizing the national industry and limiting the foreign dependence of the national economy, and in accordance with the instructions given by Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Defense National, Chief of Staff of the National People's Army, 409 multi-purpose 4x4 vehicles were delivered in different versions: troop transport, vehicles for the scientific and intervention police, transportation of schoolchildren and medical and sanitary ambulances.

The vehicles are Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Sprinters, manufactured by the company SPA-SAFAV (Algerian Vehicle Manufacturing Company) established in Bouchakif / Tiaret / 2nd  Région Militaire. They were delivered to the "Direction centrale du Matériel" operating for the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Justice, the General Directorate of National Security, and other national public and private structures.

This new delivery demonstrates the determination of the High Command of the National People's Army to develop a national defense industry according to international standards and to guarantee a high quality product, in addition to the creation of permanent employment positions, while ensuring qualitative staff training to achieve the expected objectives of the partnership between the Ministry of National Defense and the German technology partner Daimler, as well as the Emirati Investment Fund ABAR.
