Pitagone is a Belgian company that provides defense and security solutions mainly dedicated to counter terrorist threats. The company is based in Brussels with two factories and one logistic center. Pitagone is the European leader in Counter Terror Mobile Solutions. Serving police, armed forces and federal agencies, Pitagone also offers tailor-made services to airports, ports, public transportation as well as to major private companies. Pitagone is present internationally and assists its clients daily in over thirty-five countries on five continents from its Brussels Headquarters.
Under the umbrella of the Belgian Pavilion, the Company Pitagone will showcase the latest technology of anti-ram mobile barriers which are now used by 35 countries around the world including police and defense forces.
Recently, the anti-ram mobile barriers of Pitagone were deployed during the Rugby World Cup in Japan. Pitagone was selected by the Japanese police to secure the grounds surrounding the stadiums that host the Rugby World Cup in Japan. This is another great success story at the International level for the Belgian company Pitagone after the deployment of their anti-ram barriers around the British Queen's residence in Sandringham in December 2018.
Pitagone has designed two types of anti-ram mobile barriers, the F-11 able to stop a vehicle or truck launched at an average speed. It can resist to a shock of a 7.5 tons truck launched at 48 Km/h. The new F-18 is capable to stop a truck of 12 tons on wet ground at 90° but also on 45°, a unique feature of the Pitagone F18 anti-ram barrier.
The F18 is the only hand portable Vehicle Barriers to pass the new German certification N3/N3C CP1S with a 12 ton (24,000 lb) vehicle.
