Milipol 2021: Welp Group displays its new F3-TLC protected vehicle based on Toyota Land Cruiser 300


German company Welp Group in collaboration with Farmingtons Automotive GmbH, Franz Achleitner Fahrzeugbau and Reifenzentrum GMBH has developed and manufactured a special protection vehicle based on the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 under the commercial name of F3-TLC. The new protected vehicle was presented at Milipol 2021, International Safety and Homeland Security Exhibition in Paris, France.

All around the world, security forces, organizations, politicians and VIPs trust on special protection vehicles from Farmingtons Automotive GmbH, a part of WELP Group and Franz Achleitner Fahrzeugbau und Reifenzentrum GMBH. The requirements on the market are increasing and highly volatile. Even the production location Europe with its high manufacturing quality and the excellently trained specialists is well equipped for these requirements, it is under high competitive pressure.

In order to be able to meet these increasing challenges even better, we will work together on a new vehicle: Farmingtons Automotive GmbH and Franz Achleitner Fahrzeugbau und Reifenzentrum GMBH are jointly developing and manufacturing a special protection vehicle based on the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300.

With the F3-TLC, at least the protection classes and protection requirements that are known from the TLC200 (F2-TLC) are achieved, both in the ballistic and in the shock wave range (blast / IED). The WELP F2-TLC is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200. The vehicle is available in protection classes VR7 and VR9.

The ballistic and blast tests with the new F3-TLC were carried out exclusively by accredited offices and service providers in accordance with the latest version of the relevant test standards.

The WELP Group has more than 70 permanent employees in development as well as an in-house firing channel for advanced development. For the safety of customers, Welp Group has invested several thousand hours of development in this project. Based on many years of experience in the development, production, and certification of special protection vehicles, Welp Group is confident to offer the first F3-TLC in a tested and successfully certified version as early as the beginning of 2022.
