At MSPO 2011, the Polish Defence Company AMZ unveils a new high mobility vehicle for quick reaction unit, the Swistak (Groundhog), which can be used for multirole missions as patrol, protection of convoy, support for Special Forces and more.

The Swistak (Groundhog) is based on a light Iveco truck chassis and engine. The vehicle had a maximum weight of 6,000 kg with a payload capacity of 2,100 kg. The body of the vehicle is based on a tubular structure in accordance with specific standard for that type of product.

The Swistak (Groundhog) can be equipped with a large range of weapons system, at MSPO 2001, the vehicle was armed with a Minigun M134G calibre 7.62 mm mounted on a ring mount at the centre of the crew compartment. Another 5.56 mm machine gun is mounted at the rear of the vehicle.

The basic version of the Groundhog can carried 6 soldiers with personal equipment and weapons.

The Groundhog is fitted with additional armour on each side of the vehicle, which provide a protection against firing of small weapons (STANAG 4569 Level 1). The bottom of the vehicle is protected by energy-intensive shields that protect the crew in the level 2 according to STANAG 4569 and further protect the vehicle's drive system against mechanical damage.

The Groundhog is powered by an Iveco Diesel 4 cylinder engine with a power of 176 HP, coupled to an 5-speed Allison automatic transmission
